About Pandemic TD Battles!

The Game: Text

After researching the best platform to create Pandemic TD Battles, I decided upon using Unity 3D to develop it. This was primarily due to Unity’s easy to use interface and its ability to export to various platforms easily.

When I decided to make a video game based on tower defence, I knew that it was a relatively common theme. That was why I realised that in order to make something that would be successful in the real world (which would attract people of all ages) my product had to be something that not only relaxes players, but also forces them to think. I needed to add something different in a game whose theme had been explored way too many times in the past by various corporations. This is why I decided to make the game in a 3D environment, instead of the common 2D environment in which TD games are built. I also decided to add the element of disappearing turrets, based upon their value in the game.

Just like life, a video game is also a platform filled with myriad variety of colours (both literally and figuratively). It needs the perfect amalgamation of lighting, colours, sounds, shapes, strategies, ideas and logic. This is what I aimed to achieve in my game as well: the perfect amalgamate!

I have added three different interactive menus in the game: A main menu, a pause menu and a help menu, to easily display player interfaces.
